Event Health & Safety: Drive In Cinema Club

Background

Drive in Cinema Club hosted 6 cinema drive ins across the UK in July of this year in Reading, Guildford, Bromley, Tunbridge Wells, Newcastle and Durham. The ultimate sunset cinema experience included various classic films played on the big screen with an array of food and drink options that could be delivered contact free to your car. OPS were asked to provide a full Health & Safety service for the run of events.

Challenge

There was a short lead time before the events which meant the team had to work hard to liaise with all locations and create the documentation in time. As these events took place during Covid-19, it was essential that all social distancing measures and procedures were followed closely by all attendees who did so successfully at the events we attended on site.

Delivery

OPS were asked to provide Health & Safety services which included site plans, risk assessments, CV-19 specific risk assessments and an ESMP. One of our Safety Advisors were also on site on the first day at three locations to ensure all necessary procedures were in place, including making sure all the events were in line with Covid-19 government guidance and the Covid-19 risk assessment.

• 6 locations with multiple daily screenings for one week in each
