Labyrinth on the Thames, Old Royal Naval College

Background

Over twelve months in the making, Labyrinth on the Thames 2025 brought world-class electronic music to the iconic Old Royal Naval College (ORNC) in Greenwich, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Building on a deep partnership spanning years of unforgettable live experiences – from Tofte Manor’s open-air festivals to London’s newest riverside stage – We Are OPS proudly delivered this event in collaboration with Labyrinth Events and colleagues at our sister agency, The Fair.

Over twelve months of planning culminated in this landmark six-day event, blending heritage, artistry, and contemporary dance music. Black Coffee‘s two night stint made electronic music history as he became the first DJ to headline the venue for two nights running, with other global artists including Empire of the Sun, Solomun, Fisher and Anjunadeep.

We led on all aspects of health & safety, licensing, and operations to deliver this landmark event in one of London’s most historic settings.

Our services included:

  • Securing the premises license for ORNC
  • Acting as SAG lead and coordinating agency engagement
  • Managing stakeholder meetings with the University of Greenwich, Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance, and The Old Brewery
  • Providing on-site health & safety management
  • Producing advanced documentation: ESMP, Risk Assessments, Fire Risk Assessment, and Crowd Management Plan
  • Delivering operational oversight, including security, traffic, crowd control, and medical

We are proud to have helped deliver Labyrinth on the Thames 2025, proving that large-scale live music events can be staged safely and successfully in sensitive historic locations. Through careful planning, robust documentation, and real-time operational oversight, OPS ensured that the event was as safe as it was spectacular.
