Health & Safety: The Daily Dress Edit Pop-up

Background

The Daily Dress Edit pop-up is a physical manifestation of the @DailyDressEdit Instagram account, created by renowned columnist and stylist Isabel Spearman. It holds a two-week residence in October on Elizabeth Street and houses dresses created as one-off exclusives by 28 independent British brands. Working in partnership with Grosvenor, OPS were tasked to deliver a full Event Health & Safety service for the pop-up. The team were briefed to ensure the event could take place safely and securely in line with Government Covid-19 guidance and would not impede the event organiser’s creative vision.

Challenge

OPS liaised with Isabel over the layout of the store in order to calculate the maximum number of guests she could have at one time. The team also worked collaboratively to establish the best way to operate the event, including how staff and customers would interact within the store in order to maintain social distancing while still ensuring each customer received a premium shopping experience.

OPS also produced a detailed Covid-19 Risk Assessment, and audited risk assessments and method statements for all of the suppliers including those whom were on site for the fit out of the empty unit prior to the event. One of our Health & Safety Advisors also visited on the first day the pop up store opened to the public to ensure the event organisers felt comfortable with additional Covid-19 protocols and that the event was able to operate successfully in line with the Covid-19 risk assessment.

Results

  • Successful event carried out in accordance with government Covid-19 guidelines

  • Attendees had the opportunity to safely obtain style advice from Isabel and her team and purchase some beautiful new dresses
