Festival Operations and Health & Safety: Gottwood Festival 2026

Background

We Are OPS has proudly supported Future Noise Ltd on Gottwood Festival for a number of years, providing specialist event operations, event licensing support and operational safety expertise to help deliver one of the UK’s most respected independent electronic music festivals.

Held between 11 and 14 June 2026 in the woodland surroundings of Anglesey, North Wales, Gottwood welcomed up to 10,000 attendees for four days of electronic music, immersive production and a unique festival experience.

For the 2026 edition, We Are OPS worked throughout the planning and live event phases, supporting the event licensing process, attending Safety Advisory Group (SAG) meetings and preparing the operational documentation required to safely deliver the festival. Once on site, our team led operational management, working closely with security, medical providers and Event Liaison Teams (ELTs) to ensure the event ran safely and efficiently.

A significant milestone for Gottwood Festival in 2026 was the introduction of its first-ever 24-hour licence. This presented new operational considerations for both the promoter and delivery partners, requiring careful planning, flexible staffing and continuous oversight throughout the event. Our experience in festival health and safety and live event management enabled the festival to confidently navigate this new operating model while maintaining a safe environment for audiences, staff and contractors.
