Background
Full Fat 360 is a multi award winning marketing & events agency, come independent promoter. We’ve supported the team with health and safety services at events including Wales’ largest festival, In It Together, Colour Clash and more.
As a result of ongoing relationship with the client, Full Fat 360 requested us to deliver additional safety services for two back-to-back shows across at Bristol’s largest events venue, Ashton Gate Stadium. Our team were adopted to work alongside the stadium’s existing safety team.
Ne-Yo, Jess Glynne, Stefflon Don and Dizzee Rascal were amongst others who took to the stage at Ashton Gate’s first one-day festival, BS3, followed by performances from Holly Humberstone, The Vaccines and headliners Kings of Leon on the Sunday.
OPS supported safety from the planning phases all the way through to the live event days – attending Safety Advisory Group meetings, producing documentation and providing on-site health and safety.
Challenges
- We were working alongside the existing safety team at the stadium, meaning we had to integrate into their method of working. To do this, we worked alongside the stadium’s in-house safety officer based in their event control to understand their way of working, before providing services in the appropriate manner.
- This was our first time working with Full Fat 360 in this venue as opposed to a festival setting, meaning our communication and approach varied also.
Delivery
- Health & Safety during back-to-back live events
- Documentation (including Event Safety Management Plans)
- On-site SAG liaison
- Site visits
- Working alongside stadiums in-house safety officer based in their event control
Results
- Stadium safety certificate issued well in advance of live event (which is unusual for stadium shows of this kind)
- Positive feedback from the client
- We look forward to continuing our relationship with the client for future events
